Home > Facilities > Welfare Facilities Library The library as the center of information provides a great number of books, periodicals, educational CD-ROMs, and a substantial amount of audio-visual and digital materials to enhance students?academic achievements. The computerized digital library includes the satellite receiving room and video viewing room. Computer Center The computer center serves as the backbone of the information technology on campus and provides services throughout the information infrastructure. The center is equipped with both the wire and the wireless network system that provides access to the world wide web. Through the wireless system, students are able to log on the Internet anytime and anywhere on campus. Educational Broadcasting Center The educational broadcasting center is equipped with a digital broadcasting system. It includes the studio and editorial rooms and serves as a major means of both disseminating campus information and training students in broadcasting. The center records and edits the lectures from classrooms and the studio, and provides the lectures through the Internet. Students have easy access to the on-line lectures and thus they can review the lectures anytime. Multimedia Room The multimedia room provides a wide variety of services to help students accomplish their academic goals. The room is equipped with computers, color printers, scanners, and multimedia editors. International Conference Room The international conference room is well-equipped for international conferences. With state-of-the-art interpretation equipments, the room will be a perfect place to hold international conferences. It is also used as an interpretation laboratory for students as they practice their interpretation skills. The residence hall has central heating and offers air-conditioned double occupancy rooms. Each room is furnished with two single-beds, wardrobes, desks, and a private bathroom. All rooms have private phones, and high-speed Internet connections. Housing and utilities are all free. On each floor is a TV lounge with hot/cold water dispensers. The dormitory also has study rooms, seminar rooms, a computer room, an ATM, and a convenience store. Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are located in the basement of the dormitory. Computer Labs The networked computer labs are used in a wide range of courses offered to Geumgang students. Each lab is customized to meet the needs of particular disciplines and are available to all students.
